Advisory Board & Team
The Delhi Arts & Health Festival is guided by an interdisciplinary community of artists, clinicians, researchers, educators, policymakers and cultural leaders. Their collective expertise and shared conviction shapes every dimension of the festival — from programme to partnerships, governance to vision.
“This is not a festival run by a single organisation. It is a collective endeavour — led, shaped and sustained by the people and institutions who believe that creativity and care belong together.”

Advisory Board
A Community of Expertise
The DAHF Advisory Board brings together leading figures from arts, medicine, public health, cultural policy, research and community practice — from across India and internationally. Their collective expertise shapes the festival’s intellectual ambition, programme quality and long-term strategic direction.
Clinical Arts & Medicine
Prof. Seema Rao
AIIMS Delhi
A pioneering figure in arts-based therapeutic practice in India, Prof. Rao has spent three decades integrating arts into patient care, medical education and community health settings across the country. Her research on the neurological basis of creative engagement has shaped clinical arts programmes in 14 hospitals.
Cultural Policy & Leadership
Ranjit Hoskote
Independent Scholar & Curator
One of India’s most influential cultural thinkers, Hoskote has shaped major museum and biennale programmes internationally. A poet, critic and curator, he brings a rigorous interdisciplinary lens to questions of arts, public life and institutional practice.
Public Health & Community
Dr Vandana Prasad
Public Health Resource Network
A leading voice in community health and health equity in India, Dr Prasad’s work sits at the intersection of social determinants of health, community mobilisation and participatory practice. She brings the perspective of grassroots public health to the festival’s advisory work.
Arts & Mental Health
Dr Shyam Bhat
The Live Love Laugh Foundation
A psychiatrist and integrative medicine practitioner, Dr Bhat has championed the role of arts, movement and community in mental health recovery. His work bridges evidence-based clinical practice and holistic wellbeing — making him one of India’s most important voices in arts and mental health.
Music & Therapeutic Practice
TJ Rehmi
Sangeet Natak Akademi
A musician, composer and scholar of classical Indian music traditions, TJ Rehmi has spent over two decades developing music as a tool for healing, community and social cohesion. She works with hospitals, schools and community centres to make music central to public life.
Visual Arts & Curation
Girish Shahane
Independent Curator
An art critic and curator with deep knowledge of South Asian contemporary art, Shahane brings curatorial rigour and critical thinking to the festival’s visual arts programming. He has shaped exhibitions at major institutions across India and internationally.
Theatre & Performance
Maya Krishna Rao
National School of Drama
One of India’s most celebrated theatre practitioners and performers, Maya Krishna Rao’s work combines political acuity, physical precision and deep humanity. Her commitment to theatre as a public and social art form aligns closely with DAHF’s mission.
Health Systems & Research
Prof. K. Srinath Reddy
Public Health Foundation of India
A globally recognised cardiologist and public health advocate, Prof. Reddy has shaped health policy in India at the highest levels. His work on prevention, lifestyle and social determinants of health provides essential grounding for the festival’s health evidence base.
The Advisory Board meets quarterly to review programme quality, strategic direction and partnerships. Additional advisors are confirmed on a rolling basis — we are grateful for the extraordinary generosity of everyone who gives their time and expertise to DAHF.
