ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Delhi’s first city-wide arts and health festival
DAHF is an independent, city-wide initiative established to explore the intersections of arts, health, wellbeing and community in Delhi. The festival brings together artists, performers, facilitators, clinicians, researchers, public health professionals, educators, students and communities across five days of programming spanning exhibitions, performances, workshops, talks, screenings and community projects.
DAHF is built on the conviction that creative practice is not supplementary to health — it is foundational to it. The festival draws on a growing international evidence base, including research from the World Health Organization, UCL and Johns Hopkins, that demonstrates the measurable impact of arts participation on physical health, mental wellbeing, social cohesion and community resilience.
DAHF is the first festival in India to bring arts and health together as a city-wide proposition — connecting the studio, the clinic and the street.

FESTIVAL OVERVIEW
Delhi as a Capital of Care
DAHF brings together artists, healthcare practitioners, researchers, educators, policymakers, cultural organisations and the public in a shared proposition: that creativity is not supplementary to health — it is fundamental to it.
Over five days across multiple venues, the festival creates the conditions for genuine encounter — between disciplines that rarely meet, communities that are rarely heard, and ideas that are rarely given space to develop. Performances, workshops, exhibitions, conversations, research exchanges and community experiences sit alongside one another without hierarchy, each format a different way of asking the same question: what does a caring city look like?
DAHF is a contribution to the growing arts and health ecosystem in India and globally — building on the evidence base established by the WHO, the Wellcome Collection, the Sidney De Haan Research Centre and a generation of practitioners who have demonstrated what the arts can do for human health and wellbeing.
